Flen International Orchestra presents music from various cultures and people, from the East and the West, with musical arrangements that reflect the nature of cultural pluralism that exists among its band members.

The orchestra was established in 2015 in the city of Flen, Sweden, as a result of a three-way cooperation between the Flen municipality, the School of Culture, and the ABF organization in Flen under the supervision of the composer/guitarist Lutte Berg. The orchestra includes around 35 musicians, singers, and artists, all from various nationalities such as Sweden, Italy, Syria, and others.
Since its establishment, the orchestra has presented many concerts within festivals such as Folk och kultur and at other occasions, both in cities within the province of Sörmland and Stockholm in Sweden, and also in countries outside of Sweden, such as Italy. Most prominently, the orchestra has presented concerts at repetitive occasions at the Swedish Royal Palace, hosted by King Carl Gustaf of Sweden with Queen Silvia.

The orchestra has also collaborated with other orchestras to present joint concerts, such as the joint concert at the Amazon Theater in Flen, with musicians from the University of Music in Göteborg, and the joint concert at the Växhuset in Västerås with the Världsmusikorkester Work orchestra of Västerås.
To its credit, the orchestra has released two music albums, the first under the name “Mosaik”, released in 2017, and the second under the name “Rötter”, released in 2020. Numerous videos and live concerts of the orchestra are available on YouTube, , for examplle our livekonsert from 2018 that was performed at Amazon in the city Flen in Sweden.
