The Kolo Suryoyo trio have presented recorded concerts for the radio station in Sweden in Stockholm in 2020 and 2021 (read about the concert and hear the concert via Estonian radio), as well as at Rönnells Stockholm, and at Musikens Hus in Katrineholm (see the concert).

The idea for the project originated in 2019 with an invitation from the University of Tokyo in Japan by researcher Lisa Lino for the purpose of presenting music of the Syriac church and the secular Syriac music, played by instruments such as the oud, qanun, and other percussion instruments, along with vocal performances. The band presents ancient Syriac melodies that can be traced back to the third century AD by eminent composers, such as Saint Ephrem, Saint Jacob of Serug, and Saint Issac, as well as Syriac tunes during the renewal period of the past fifty years.
